Art Festivival will have the '08 Duck Stamp Collection on Display.

We are excited to announce the '08 Federal Duck Stamp collection will be on display at this years art festival. Watertown native, Joshua Spies won!
Joshua Spies won the 76th annual Federal Duck Stamp Competition, held in Bloomington, MN October 17th and 18th, 2008. The Federal Bird and Migratory Stamp Competition is the largest wildlife competition in the world. This year saw 270 entries.
Spies' painting, Long-Tailed Duck with Decoy, will be featured on the 2009-2010 Federal Duck Stamp, which will go on sale in late June 2009. Federal Duck Stamp sales generate about $25 million each year to fund wetland habitat acquisition for the National Wildlife Refuge System.

The Watertown Art Festival is Northeastern South Dakota's premier art event. Each Year this non-profit festival draws thousands of people from throughout the Midwest for a two-day show featuring art for all tastes.
All media's are on display, including: paintings sculptures, pottery, bronze, watercolor, mixed media, wood carving, jewelry, fabric, photography and much more.
Some featured items of keen public interest are the huge silent auction, raffle items, collector buttons and demonstrations by some of the artist. This year we are proud to announce the 2nd annual youth exhibit. Area youth artist ages 5-18 have works of art on display for judging and public viewing.
